Voice over IP (VoIP) is simply a way to send telephone calls over the Internet. It's a powerful technology that provides benefits that can't be achieved with traditional telephone networks alone.

VoIP-enabled TalkSwitch systems give you the freedom to choose how you connect. You can migrate from traditional telephone lines and grow with VoIP services. Plus, your investment is protected because TalkSwitch uses the industry-standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).

VoIP service providers

TalkSwitch has been tested with select VoIP SIP trunking service provider partners to assure compatibility and support.

VoIP SIP trunking can deliver significant cost savings, flexibility, scalability and new features. You can have multiple calls per telephone number. Adding telephone numbers is easy - even out-of-area numbers for virtual local presence and toll-free service. Each number can have separate call handling, so you can route incoming calls to greeting messages or directly to specific extensions. It's quick, easy, and cost-effective to grow, adding extra lines and numbers often without extra hardware.

Many VoIP service providers offer VoIP SIP trunking over your existing broadband Internet connection. For high-traffic applications and additional quality of service, some providers offer SIP trunking over their own access facilities (e.g. T1 and higher).

Connect Anywhere IP extensions

Extend your phone system beyond your office with connect anywhere extensions in home offices or for mobile workers. IP phone extensions can be located anywhere with Internet access — at the home offices of teleworkers or on mobile workers' PCs with a soft-phone client. TalkSwitch keeps you connected.

Multi-Branch Networking

Your business has branch offices. With VoIP, TalkSwitch systems can be networked together over the Internet. Each office on a TalkSwitch VoIP network can dial directly to any other office, eliminating inter-office calling charges. You can even take calls at one office and transfer them to another branch to be answered.
